Knowing the Haunted History of the Location Can Aid Your Paranormal Investigation
A successful investigation starts before you arrive at a location. Proper research is needed so that you have an idea who or what will be there.
Some things to research are; What was the location used for in the past and present? Was the location a breeding ground for despair and hopelessness? Did people die there? Were people murdered there? Was it a place of happiness that someone holds so dearly?
These questions and others would provide reasons for spirits to be bound to a location or an object, as well as who they may be.
I usually start doing research online. With technology, you can find great historical facts regarding the location and the surrounding areas. I also utilize old newspaper clippings at the local library as well as other historical information at the local historical society. Once I have done this, I talk with eyewitnesses about their experiences with the paranormal. I also speak with people who may have knowledge of the local stories and legends. You never know what you may uncover by having a brief conversation with someone from the area.
For some of the locations I investigate, I will share with you what I have found on both the historical and paranormal.
