Case: FOR-MIF-2011-05-14 – I accompanied a Boy Scout troop on their overnight to Fort Mifflin, Philadelphia, PA. We investigated Casemate 1-5, Casemate 11, and the Torpedo Room. I also left a digital recorder going all through the night in the Officer’s Quarters. I slept in the room below where Elizabeth Pratt committed suicide. The following is what I collected during this investigation.
Casemate 4
While Dave and I were investigating Casemate 1-5, he had a personal experience where the light of a window in Casemate 4 was blocked by something. We quickly ruled out our shadows because I was not in the room nor was he moving. While trying to see what it could be, we were joined by some of the boys who were asking questions about our equipment. The following EVPs or Electronic Voice Phenomimums were captured during this conversation.
(Note: the audio has been enhanced. It is best to listen with headphones on.)
While I was explaining my night vision camcorder to the boys. Just as I finished someone asked a question, but I didn’t here it that night.
Our conversation continued as we had another message come through another EVP.
Later on in the evening, Dave and I returned to Casemate 4 to investigate it some more. Using two digital recorders, we were able to capture the following EVPs.
Dave asked for who ever was there to knock on the chair to set off the Geoscope he had placed there. He didn’t get the knock, but the audio recorder did pick up a response.
While continuing our investigation, we recorded the following two EVPs. Both sound like prisoners who are requesting their freedom.
Torpedo Room
During my investigation of Fort Mifflin last year the Torpedo Room was very quiet. Dave and I conducted two EVP sessions during this investigation.
After our initial introduction, Dave how the various equipment we had worked. Right after he was done, the following EVP was captured.
The following two EVP’s were from our second EVP session after we introduced ourselves again.
Both are clear that someone didn’t want us there. Here’s the one from the first digital recorder.
FM Torpedo Part 2 – Get Out
This is from the second digital recorder which was placed on the opposite side of the room.
Officer’s Quarters
After several hours of investigating, I turned in. I slept in the room next to the display room in the Officer’s Quarters which was just below where Elizabeth Pratt committed suicide. While staying there in 2010, I had a personal experiences all throughout the night. However, since I did not leave a digital recorder on, I did not capture anything. This year to verify any personal expereinces, I left a digital recorder running the whole night. Although the rain made it difficult to hear, I did manager to capture a few interesting EVPs.
The first two EVPs were captured within a 30 minute time frame.
This one is a man saying, “Don’t lock it.” The second is of a woman saying to “Lock it.”
Here are the others from the evening. (Note that it rained so in the next 3 EVPs you will have to listen past the raindrops.)
The next EVP confirms what I experienced in 2010. During that visit, I kept waking up to the sound of a female crying in the room. You can hear her behind the rain.
This EVP sounds like a gentleman breaking the news to someone that their Mommy is dead. What do you hear?
This EVP I have trouble understanding the whole phrase. I know that the last syllable is play.
This EVP was captured just before dawn. It is a female stating the she is mad.
How to find me!
